To climb a mountain one must begin with the first step

Today was a good day. As bax stated we had a challenging morning. He was looking at each wave and figuring out why he wouldn't be able to surf them. In ZMM we recently read that in order to climb a mountain you must pace yourself and do it for the right reasons. To make an ego trip of it you will inevitably fail. We were sitting on the beach and I gave Bax the ultimatum, he had to do 2 more successful surf's and then we would be done for the day. He completed the first one almost right away and then sat some more. He then headed out there caught a good wave. He headed for shore and then paused ... he realized in that one wave that it was possible and his fear and negativity disappeared. He hit several more waves and ended the morning as a success. I am very proud of him that he was able to conquer his fear, push past the struggle and succeed.
